Reflection#3: Only Love

Once upon a time there were two brothers walking in the desert trying to go home. It did not say who the brothers were. All it said was that they were walking so that they can go home. While walking, they were TALKING and DEBATING. Their DEBATE got heated-up to the point that the older brother SLAPPED his younger brother. It did not say what the issue was or what the debate was all about. After the slap, the younger brother QUITELY LEFT and went to a corner, PICKED a stick and suddenly start writing on the SAND.
Proverbs 17:27-28 NIV The one who has knowledge uses words with restraint, and whoever has understanding is even-tempered.28 Even fools are thought wise if they keep silent, and discerning if they hold their tongues.
After several minutes they started walking again. They keep walking for hours until they saw a pond. The waters on the pond was soo clear and clean. The younger brother then, stripped his clothes and went for a swim. Then suddenly tragedy strucked down. The younger brother got cramps. He shouted for help, the older brother heard, without hesitation the older BRAVED and DIVED on the unknown waters then saved his younger brother. Once the younger brother are okay, he again went to a corner, look for a STONE this time, then start writing again.
Matthew 5:22 ESV But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be liable to the hell of fire.
The older brother got CURIOUS on his brother's behaviour, he asked, "why do you keep quite then start writing on the sand and stones?" The younger brother replied, when you slapped me, I wrote on the SAND. In the SAND I wrote all my frustrations and hatred on you because I know when the wind blows, the wind will erase what I wrote. The older brother ask, "what about the STONE just now?" The stones just now I wrote all the GOOD THINGS you did to me especially when you saved me because I know it will be preserved and that's what I want to remember.
1 John 4:20-21 NIV Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. 21 And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.
Both of them got quite then the younger brother ask, "I know you got angry about our debate so WHY did you SAVE ME?" The older brother said, It's simply because your my little brother. No matter what happens YOU ARE MY BROTHER. And because you are my brother, I love you. No matter how angry I am, if you are in danger, I WILL GO AND SAVE YOU.
1 John 3:16 ESV By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.
Corruption is everywhere right now. In the office, in the goverment, and even the the church itself. But the biggest corruption is inside, in-onself, that is PRIDE. Yes pride is a CORRUPTION. The love on oneself only. The biggest corruption most of us that are not aware of. Only love can take away pride. In the story, no matter how angry the older brother is, he still braved the waters and saved his brother. In the story even though the younger brother was slapped, he stayed quite and wrote his frustrations on the SAND, to fade away. The brotherly love on the story shows the power of love. No matter the hatred, the PRIDE, let GOD rule over your heart and let love prevails, ONLY IN LOVE that you'll find TRUE SALVATION.
Romans 8:28 ESV And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
