I know many will raise their eyebrows at the title of this post especially my fellow Christian beleievers but that is the truth. My Lord commanded that I love my neighbour as myself and that did not exclude anybody not even atheists. He even acknowledged that he came to this World for sinners not the righteous, so sinners are the ones that even need his love and grace more. I used to be the kind of Christian that used to also look at atheists in ways that i should not, condemning them for their beliefs and all that but that was not in anyway helping them. That is not what the Lord Jesus Christ would have done.

The Lord came to earth, died on a wooden cross for all, including the very ones who rejected him and nailed him. Today, atheists do not believe him too but that does not stop him from loving him and if i am his true disciple then i should also love them too. The truth is we all need love. We all need someone to show us the way at one point in our lives. I was in sin too before i came to Christ, before my eyes were opened and it will be so unusual to now rurn around and judge others who are blind too like i was.

Someone has got to stand up and show them the way and that is what Christ is looking for not some judgmental hypocrite. That person can be you and i if we chose to. It will surprise you to know that nobody is born atheist. In fact, most of them were believers at one point. What people fail to understand is, most atheists become atheist as a way of gettung back at God for prayers, requests and pleas he did not grant. So, as a way of hurting God or getting back at him they become atheists. So, most at times, while others see atheists as a group of crazy, arrogant and blasphemous lunatics; I see them as broken people who are going through a hard time and are in desperate need of love, comfort and someone to help them through it. They need love and not judgment; how do you hope to convert them by judging them instead of showing them the way through love?

The word says, love all and follow peace with all men.
We are described as lights to our generation and we are supposed to shine as lights in the darkness especially now that darkness is eneveloping the world. The world desperately needs the manifestation of the sons of God. You have to stand up and becime what you have been called to be. A follower of Christ, who loved all and gave his life for all.
