Adam and Eve

Love is like Adam first meeting Eve-
In a world of perfection he was lonely.
There was a place in his heart that was empty.
He knew The Lord and walked alongside him as a child might stroll with his father,
But still there was loneliness,
An emptiness that The Lord looked upon and deemed unfit,

And so came Eve-
In the midst of a world so tragically lonely a companion comes,
And behold he looks upon her and is made whole.
He holds her close and says now all is well.
It is not to say without her he could not live.
It is not to say his existence depends upon her.

It is simply to say without her he lacks completion-
Like a book that is never finished,
Like a masterpiece left only as a sketch,
And with this emptiness the beauty of God's wonderful gift of life was not truly enjoyed,
It is empty and without purpose.
And so we are created for each other.
We are made to love,
Just as God loves us
We are made to love each other,
By this we may find peace
