RE: Did An Angel Really Save Someone From Being Mugged?
There was an incident when I was really young, probably around ten years old, that I found myself "rescued" from falling off a steep cliff in Oklahoma. I was being an adventurous kid. No adults around. Totally unsupervised. I had climbed up this steep hill and was peering over a cliff when I lost my balance and was headed over the cliff. No joke. I felt someone grab me and pull me back. No one was there. No adults. No tree limb to grab me. So, was it an "Angel"? All I know is that I almost went over the edge and didn't. I didn't believe in Angels or God at that age. All I know is that it scared the daylights out of me.
Another incident worth mentioning happened to my work partner. He was running cable above some ceiling tiles. The lanyard he had around his neck was not a break away lanyard. He was at the top of the ladder with no spotter. He was alone. Well, as you would guess, the ladder came out from under his feet and the lanyard got tangled up on a steel beam. He was literally hanging from the beam by the lanyard! He was beginning to fade when suddenly someone picked the ladder up and grabbed his legs. Placing his feet on the ladder, he was able to untangle the lanyard and come down. No one was there. The person didn't stick around to check on him or see to his needs. My partner just wanted to say thank you, but no one was there. He looked all over the place. Those he did come in contact with had no idea he was even there running cable. Angel? Who knows. All I know is that he almost died and was saved. He was as white as a sheet when I ran into him right after that.
I don't think they will stick around anyway. They will not allow themselves to be praised in any way. They were given a mission and they executed the mission. Period.
Very interesting, thank you for sharing
