Psalm 103:7

He made known his ways to Moses,
his acts to the people of Israel.
The verse above suggests that:-
The ways of the Lord can not be known by any man who exists in a crowd. The throngs of people referred to as the 'people of Israel' were described in other places in the scriptures as multitudes. Moses on the other hand stood apart from the crowd.

Everyone can see the acts of God but only individuals, whose love for Him, and desire to know Him, has caused, to separate themselves from the crowd, can be shown His ways.

What is the meaning of the phrase, ' His ways'? In psalm 1:6 the scriptures differentiate between the ways of the righteous and the ways of the wicked. If the entire psalm is observed in perspective, a mans way would be described by where he walks, who he walks with, stands with and sits down with. Literarily this might end up as a general commentary on the mans general lifestyle.

The ways of the Lord therefore will include the whys and how's of His dealings with man. It is,God's preferred lifestyle for mankind. As stated above, you can't know it unless you are willing to stand apart from the crowd, alone with God. Maybe this is why Hebrews 11.6, describe him as a rewarder of them who diligently seek Him.

How often do you take a few days apart to just dwell in His presence?
What day of the week have you set apart to seek His face?
Growth is not automatic, good nurture is needful
Knowing His ways requires the discipline of aloneness
Or, are you satisfied with just seeing His acts?

Good advice. We bustle around and forget sometimes to be still and know that He is God!
