Quest of a lifetime pt 2 : Text: Phil 3:10-11

When we were sinners, the only experience of God available for us is the salvation of our souls. But when we become saints - saved and covered by the blood of Jesus, then there are other experiences. Faith for salvation is easier to understand, than that for deeper things. That's why Paul said that I may know Him. There are deeper experiences beyond salvation.

What happens with some is that after the experience and assurance of salvation, they settle down. But there is more. After been saved, what else have you achieved since you're saved? Don't stay on a spot.

Paul wanted to know the power of His resurrection, that is, he wanted to have a living experience of that here on earth. He wanted to know how it feels to have the resurrection experience of Jesus, when he just showed up amongst the disciples and disappears at will. Paul desired such even in the body. A level where sickness disappears just by coming in contact with our body. That was how deep his desire to know the Lord was.

To know the Lord like Paul said, is not to have just a knowledge of Him, but to have an experience of Him. This leads to a physical expression of a spiritual experience.

The desire for this quest is for us to get to a level where diseases, accidents and calamities doesn’t happen to us. Where we don't get to accepts certain negative occurrences as the will of God.

How can we see a higher level of divine activity in the church?

We need two experiences of God. These experiences can only be achieved if we see God by ourselves. We can't have it by having hands laid on us.

The experiences are: Fire & Feather. We need to become fire and develop feathers.

God is fire and He also has feathers. For us to be like Him, we must have fire and feathers.

Heb12:29 - God is a consuming fire. We need to be on fire. On the day of pentecost, tongues of fire came upon the disciples so they can be set ablaze.

Ps 91:3-4, Rev 12:13-14 - we need to develop feathers, so we can be able to fly (not physically). For those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength and mount up with wings as Eagles. Our spirit man needs to develop wings. When this happens we can see deeper revelations of God’s glory for we will be taking flights with angels in the spirit. We would experience the beauty of God's presence more. Prophets of old were taken on flights to see deep revelations of God, why can't we now? The devil has made a counterfeit of this, that's why witches & wizards fly at night. The original belongs to Jesus and is ours!
