There's no way we can be... Not on our own.

Except when we believe in Jesus, God credits Jesus' goodness to our account...

Saying it another way...

We have all, already "missed the perfection boat," and we can't go back and fix it. However, Jesus, by his sacrifice on our behalf, absorbed God's just payment for our sin, and gives us his perfect righteousness in its place.
