Introduction

One indisputable fact about a person from royalty is that their easily identifiable from the way they dress. In traditional societies, dressing is a mark of identification and symbols of honour to anyone from a royal family. in the same vein, children of God are expected to show they belong to the King of kings and honour Him through their dressing and appearance. There are certain dresses that do not glorify God's name, children of God should not be found putting them on. When you dress to honour God, you are not hiding yourself but rather revealing the dignity of heavenly royalty that you possess.

Importance of clothing or dressing

• Clothing was invented by God to cover our bodies. Genesis 3:21.
• Our clothing is to prevent confusion.
  Men and women are different. God created the two genders for specific roles, specific purposes and with specific characteristics. Part of the reason for clothing is so that men will look like men, and women will look like women. Deuteronomy 22:5
• Our dressing sends a message. It can be one of materialism, or of pride or of sexuality, or it can message godiness, propriety and modest. Timothy 2:9
