The Great Apostasy: Traditional Christian Churches Declining in "Favor" of Post-Modern Heretical Church

in #christianity6 years ago

It comes as no surprise that Christian church attendance is on the decline. While Millennials are perhaps just as spiritual, they generally speaking do not congregate in the traditional manner.

But according to Baylor University's Institute of Religion, we may be misreading the statistics. Only traditional churches are experiencing attendance declines. It's quite possible that other denominations, namely the modern, non-denominational movement, is just as robust as ever, if not experiencing an uptick.

Herein lies the problem...

Most modern churches are not truly Christian.

Look at their worship service, for one. The focus is on contemporary Christian music, or pop/rock music with some vague lyrics about Jesus.

What I believe is occurring here is that post-modern churches are deliberately running traditional churches down to the ground, thereby funneling all Christians to the apostasy.

This problem is especially apparent in my hometown, where I see true, Bible-based churches failing financially, while charlatan churches that endorse Benny Hinn and word of faith movements are thriving.

Don't be misled -- the true Christian Church is experiencing a soft persecution as we speak!

@bullishmoney I don't agree with you on this one. What determines a 'truly'christian church? The fact that it is traditional doesn't make it right or wrong. Most modern churches recognize the need to adapt to the modern reality that's why people are attracted.

There is only one thing as a Christian that tells us if we're right or wrong - it's the word of God (bible)

Am often saddened when Christians are the major critics of other Christians in this crazy battle for who's Christianity is true.

If you love God, accept him and obey him, you are a christian.

I agree that the Christian body is facing persecution, but it is from the devil and his agents.

The funny thing is that we're too caught up in internal crisis to face the true external threats affecting us. For example, Christianity has almost been completely wiPED out in the Middle East, but no one seems to talk about it.

@sirknight @steemchurch I need your opinion on this matter

You don't have to agree with me because the factual paper trail speaks volumes. Most modern churches are not truly Christian because their allegiances are tied to Benny Hinn and the word of faith movement.

Benny Hinn is not a Christian, but rather, a Satan-possessed, anti-christ figure who is actively spreading apostasy throughout the Christian world.

And these apostates are a cancer that's destroying true Christianity from within. Next to the violent persecution of the Church, the post-modern apostasy is the most important existential issue.
