Does God care about us?

Like this loving father, God is acting for our long-term good

Does widespread suffering mean that Jehovah is a God who does not care about us? Some people claim that he makes us suffer to test us, but this is not true.

When under trial, let no one say: “I am being tried by God.” For with evil things God cannot be tried, nor does he himself try anyone. — James 1:13.

God has granted man the dignity of free will. Do we not appreciate our freedom to choose to serve God? But many choose to do bad things to others, so suffering abounds.

“ Now if it seems bad to you to serve Jehovah, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve, whether the gods that your forefathers served on the other side of the River or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are dwelling. But as for me and my household, we will serve Jehovah.”  — Joshua 24:15.

It saddens Jehovah to see such injustice.

Consequently, Jehovah saw that man’s wickedness was great on the earth and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only bad all the time. Jehovah regretted that he had made men on the earth, and his heart was saddened. — Genesis 6:5, 6.

Jehovah is a God who cares about us. He wants us to enjoy life. Soon he will eliminate suffering and those who cause it. Meanwhile, he has good reason to allow suffering for a limited time.

So, then, Jehovah knows how to rescue people of godly devotion out of trial, but to reserve unrighteous people to be destroyed on the day of judgment. — 2 Peter 2:9.
But by the same word the heavens and the earth that now exist are reserved for fire and are being kept until the day of judgment and of destruction of the ungodly people. But there are new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to his promise, and in these righteousness is to dwell. — 2 Peter 3:7, 13.

The dignity of free will is what sometimes makes us stray from the right path. Free will is a blessing and a curse, but I love that we have it.

Yes it is something we should thank him for. But we always have to ask for his guidance to make good decisions. :)

I well know, O Jehovah, that man’s way does not belong to him. It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step. - Jeremiah 10:23.

God bless u dear..i wish u to happy and long life...

thank you. :)

I also want to mention the scripture at Job 34:10, for Job lost everything and still was convinced that it is “unthinkable for the true God to act wickedly”.
He’s a great example for many ppl who suffered much...
