The Beauty Of Giving
The word "giving" can simply be explained as an act of rendering assistance, support to other people. It could be of different forms, it could be by giving out gifts, money, even our words of encouragement are other ways of giving.
Giving can also represent generosity, having the tendency to give or assist others. I think generosity should be more encouraged in our society. There are lots of people who needs help, both children and adult, some of them are even close to our homes. When we have the opportunity, it is good we do something to encourage people like that.
You are not wasting your money when you give others who are in need, you are doing it for our redeemer (Jesus Christ). These are the words of Jesus in Matthew 25:40, "And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me." You definitely have a reward in heaven when you are generous to the needy.
However, it is not only in heaven you get rewarded, the reward actually starts from here. When you try to help others, people will definitely help you too. The bible says in Luke 6:38, "Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.” Giving to others pleases God in heaven.

Whoever gives to the poor will not want, but he who hides his eyes will get many a curse Proverbs 28:27. To become like Christ involves everything else: becoming a loving and giving person, having confidence enabling you to be vulnerable, having the wisdom to see people's needs and the desire to meet them.
Lastly, it is written in Hebrews 13:16 of the bible, "Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God." Show love by visiting the orphanage homes, show love by rendering assistance, encouragement to other people who are hopeless and wandering about.
God will reward you if you do this, you will definitely save a lot of people from destruction if you work in generosity.

Proverbs 11:25
Whoever brings blessing will be enriched,
and one who waters will himself be watered.
God wants us to be blessed. He has provided many ways to bless us, one of those ways is giving a financial offering at church or elsewhere there is a need.
Some people complain when the pastor talks about an offering before the offering plate is passed; they says things like “all they want is money” or “all he talks about is money”.
I say, thank you for reminding me and giving me an opportunity to receive a blessing from God by blessing others, and to do what God has told us in the Bible He wants us to do.
Does God, the creator of everything need my money? Couldn’t he simply provide the needs of the church? Of course he could, so why the offering? So WE can be blessed! He is giving us an opportunity to get his blessings…Thank you, God, and thank you Pastor for providing the opportunity and reminding me about a blessing waiting for my action.
2 Corinthians 9:7
Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
God loves a cheerful giver! What more needs to be said?

STOPtotally agree friend! Trying to teach my kids the concept of it genuinely being better to give then receive...difficult at first...but when they catch it the purity of life and joy literally bursts out of them...great post thanks
