A light that shines out of darkness
''You are the salt of the earth."Jesus tells His followers ."You are the light of the world." What an amazing picture. What an astonishing way to describe a christian. And Jesus wants His disciples to understand that following Him means standing up, stepping up, stepping out, and making a positive, life-changing impact on this mixed planet, We can just sit still and be quiet. "But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be salty again?" Jesus warns. "It is no longer good for anything." Do you have the courage to stand up for Jesus Christ in the face of opposition? Or do you find your faith trampled by your friends? Does your light shine among others? Or are more like a burned-out light bulb? Too many of us think that because we're Christians, we're supposed to be accepting about everything. That's not true. Jesus never asks us to accept anything that goes against His holy Word. In fact, He wants us to speak up for what's right? In short, He wants us to live and speak our faith.

Thank you. I've just read a book you may like, it's called The Daniel Dilemma by Chris Hodges. It's an excellent book about being true to your convictions in a world that is adverse and wants to make you a person who is non connected and has no values - ie lost.
