A Simple Question - Mercy and Justice

A Simple Question

Various beliefs often comes down to an idea of restoration with the Creator, a realignment back with how things were meant to be. This is especially the case for those who come to around to believe that a god must exist and that there is a sense of perfect order or justice or goodness which has been and continues to be disrupted.

I find that a question and a paradox ultimately comes about from this:

How can God be both entirely merciful and entirely just at the same time?

After all, if God forgives and extends mercy transgressions escape the court of justice. On the other hand, if all that is wrong is aptly addressed righteously then there is no room for mercy and forgiveness.

Outside of Christ, I have found no answer. In Christ alone, God himself lived out perfect blamelessness in order to endure the wrath of perfect judgement that both mercy and righteousness would coexist and reflect upon how great God is.
