The Narrow Way

Proverbs 4:26-27
Consider the path of your feet, And all your ways are established. Do not turn to the right or the left; Turn your foot away from evil.

Matthew 7:13-14
“Enter in through the narrow gate! Because the gate is wide – and the way is broad – that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter in through it. “Because the gate is narrow and the way is hard pressed which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

When driving down a road we know, or should know that if we start to veer to the right, then as we go off the road our ride starts to get bumpy. In most cases we are able to recognize this and compensate as we turn back to our designated lane.

However, there will be times when we are so distracted, or because of an obstacle in our lane that we veer way off the road. If we veer to the right we can hit a guardrail thereby causing damage to our vehicles, and possibly whoever is in the vehicle if we hit it hard enough. Without a guardrail we can do even more damage and in some cases die because we have veered so far off.

When we veer to the left we can go right into oncoming traffic which in most cases results in serious injury or death.

Many roads have stripes on them as markers or boundaries for us not to cross. That way it is easily recognizable where our lane is. Even with that because of distractions or obstacles, we can easily veer outside our designated lane.

Our Abba YHVH gave us everything we need to know so we can stay on the designated path He has for us! His Torah is the narrow path that we aren't to veer from. This is what Y'shua was referring to when He said this in John 14:6 הושע said to him, “I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to theFather except through Me.

Way in Hebrew is;
Strong's number 1870 derek deh'-rek from 1869; a road (as trodden); figuratively, a course of life or mode of action, often adverb:--along, away, because of, + by, conversation, custom, (east-)ward, journey, manner, passenger, through, toward, (high-) (path-)way(-side), whither(-soever).

Without Him dwelling in us we will not be able to stay on the path, to overcome! How does it look to have Him in us? We will be known by our fruits, whether good or bad. Examine the following verses to see how He resides in us.

John 1:1-5
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Elohim, and the Word was Elohim. He was in the beginning with Elohim. All came to be through Him, and without Him not even one came to be that came to be. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

John 15:3-10
“You are already clean because of the Word which I have spoken to you. “Stay in Me, and I stay in you. As the branch is unable to bear fruit of itself, unless it stays in the vine, so neither you, unless you stay in Me. “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who stays in Me, and I in him, he bears much fruit. Because without Me you are able to do naught! “If anyone does not stay in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up. And they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. “If you stay in Me, and My Words stay in you, you shall ask whatever you wish, and it shall be done for you. “In this My Father is esteemed, that you bear much fruit, and you shall be My taught ones. “As the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you. Stay in My love. “If you guard My commands, you shall stay in My love, even as I have guarded My Father’s commands and stay in His love.

Hosea 14:1-2
O Yisra’ĕl, return to יהוה your Elohim, for you have stumbled by your crookedness. Take words with you, and return to יהוה. Say to Him, “Take away all crookedness, and accept what is good, and we render the bulls of our lips .

2 Timothy 3:12-17
And indeed, all those wishing to live reverently in Messiah יהושע, shall be persecuted. But evil men and impostors shall go on to the worse, leading astray and being led astray. But you, stay in what you have learned and trusted, having known from whom you have learned, and that from a babe you have known the Set-apart Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for deliverance through belief in Messiah יהושע. All Scripture is breathed by Elohim and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for setting straight, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of Elohim might be fitted, equipped for every good work.

Seems to me we better study His Word and allow Abba YHVH to lead us into all truth. The more we study and obey, the more He will lead us!

John 16:12-13
“I still have many words to say to you, but you are not able to bear them now. “But when He comes, the Spirit of the Truth, He shall guide you into all the truth. For He shall not speak from Himself, but whatever He hears He shall speak, and He shall announce to you what is to come.

Acts 5:32
“And we are His witnesses to these matters, and so also is the Set-apart Spirit whom Elohim has given to those who obey Him.”

May we all be diligently seeking atter Abba YHVH's kingdom and righteousness !
