WEALTH, GOD’S WILL FOR YOU

There are those who have been deceived by the devil. They’ve been made to believe the lie that some people are destined to be wealthy while some others are destined to be poor, and there is nothing they can do about it. In addition, many dedicated and devoted Christians have been made to have a misconception of 1Timothy 6:10.

They forget that to have money is not evil but the love of it is the root of all evil. Wealth doesn’t only refer to money; it is also associated with abundance of valuable possessions. However, these satanic and destructive lies have crippled many Christians today, thereby making them to maintain the position of not wanting to get wealth. And to worsen it, some people, including Christians are even pleased or satisfied to live in poverty; thinking that Christians, are meant to suffer poverty in order to reflect their consecration to God. It’s high time we knew the truth, because it’s only in truth we can be set free (John 8:32).

God doesn’t predestine anyone to be rich or poor; He only created His spiritual laws, and freely gave them to everyone to implement. As a Christian, it is God’s will for you to prosper (3 John 2). This is why the Scripture says, He has given you the power to get wealth (Deuteronomy 8:18). Understand that God wouldn’t have given the power to get wealth if He didn’t want you to live in wealth. Hence, the decision to either live in penury or wealth is yours to make. You are the one to make your life-changing decision by rejecting penury and embrace your God-given rights under God’s law of abundance.

Perhaps you don’t know, the Bible is replete with people who lived all their lives in wealth. Think about Abraham, the father of faith, God made a covenant with him, which included divine prosperity (Genesis 12: 1-3).

And He eventually fulfilled it to prove to Abraham that He’s a covenant keeping God. Of course, Abraham was very rich in everything. Both Abraham and Lot had great possessions to the extent that “the land was not able to bear them” (Genesis 13:6).

Apart from Abraham, Isaac and Jacob also lived in wealth. In the case of Isaac, the Scriptures recorded that “Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him” (Genesis 26:12).

In verse 14, there is a further inventory of what God had given to Isaac: “For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants”. What about David and Solomon? They were also people one could refer to as great, wealthy men.

You too can live in wealth. It is God’s will for you because your living in wealth is God’s pleasure (Psalms 35:27). More so, you need to know that, God is not poor. He owns the whole universe, and He is not limited by economic recession in any country because that cannot stop God from fulfilling His covenant of blessing in your life.

Besides, He’s not partial in giving. This implies that the law of prosperity and abundance works for anyone who meets the biblical requirements and walks in them. So stop assuming poverty is what God has destined for your life.

However, what you must know is that if you have a covenant with God through the New birth, you’ve accepted Christ as your Savior and Lord, you’re the seed of Abraham. Therefore, being the seed of Abraham, you’re qualified to enjoy financial and material wealth because the Scripture says we “are blessed with faithful Abraham” (Galatians 3:9). Therefore, don’t be satisfied with poverty, God has not destined you to be poor.

Now that you know that wealth is God’s will for you, it’s very important for you to note that God doesn’t do anything without a purpose. Apart from the fact that God wants you to have wealth for yourself, He also wants you to use it for His own glory too. This means that there is a great connection between your wealth and soul winning. God desires that you have wealth so that you can take care of the Kingdom business. Soul winning is the Kingdom business and your wealth must be used to take care of it.
