THE FAITHFULNESS OF GOD

EPHESIANS 3:14-21

Having taken up the cross to follow Christ, believers' ultimate goal is to grow and have all that God has provided for them, striving daily to be what He wants them to be. The scripture talks about growing "...unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ" (Eph. 4:13). To settle for anything less is to live a life of mediocrity, defeat, or unfruitfulness.

Pauls prayer for the church can be described as profound, spiritual, and inspired. It can be summed up in the word fullness. First, he asked that they would be strengthened with the might of Gods spirit in the inner man. Second, that Christ would dwell in their hearts by faith, in all His grace and glory. Third, that the believers would be rooted and grounded in love. Fourth, that they would have understanding and knowledge to comprehend the depth of the mysteries of Christ. Fifth, that they would know the depth of Christ`s love. As if the list is endless, he ended by praying that they would "be filled with all the fulness of God" (Eph. 3:19).

Pauls prayer points should also be the earnest desire of every Spirit-filled, serious, and saintly believer. Christs fullness begins from salvation to sanctification and Holy Spirit baptism. To partake, we must ensure we abide in Christ. A branch that is severed from the vine cannot grow talk less of bearing fruit (john 15:1-7). This is why fellowship with the children of God must be taken with all seriousness. As we attend all the meetings -Sunday meeting, Bible study - we shall "grow up unto him in all things, which is the head, even Christ". We must also not neglect prayer, quiet time, and regular meditation on the word of God.

Our God is able to do so much more than we ask or desire of Him. He has the

power to work to an extent we cannot express, more than all that we can conceive in our prayers. As we seek His face in faith daily, He will lift us up the level beyond our expectations and imagination.
