Prayer- one of the pathways to God

Goodafternoon family... Happy Sunday; hope you all went to church and for those who didn't, hope u had a splendid day..
So this afternoon I am going to talk about Prayer.

So first of all, what is prayer?
The Wikipedia has it that prayer is a form of religious practice, may be either individual or communal and take place in public or in private. It may involve the use of words, song or complete silence. When language is used, prayer may take the form of a hymn, incantation, formal creedal statement, or a spontaneous utterance in the praying person.
Personally, for me, Prayer is a personal interaction with God.. It's a one on one moment with God, the one time you can completely do what you want with God.. You talk he listens; he talks, u listen.

Why do we pray?
People can pray for so many reasons... E.g, when they want something from God, when they are facing difficulties or trials, when they are grateful to God, for a more personal relationship with God,for security and protection amongst others..

The types of prayers..
We have so many types of prayer. ..

1. The Lord's prayer as given to us in the Holy Bible in Matthew 6:9-13
2. Prayer of Thanksgiving and supplication Phillipians 4:6
3. Prayer of intercession... This is where we interceed on behalf of loved ones, friends or concerning a matter ... Matthew 18:18-19
4. Prayer of forgiveness.. Matthew 6:12.
   Every other prayer.. One way or the other would fall under these category.

How does God answer prayers?
From research it has shown that God answers prayers in 3 ways:

1. No, it's not right for you.
2. Yes, but be patient
3. About time, Thought you would never ask..

From all this write-up.. We must take note of these things..

1. Whenever we pray, we should make reference to God's word.. The Holy Bible because it is written in Numbers 14:28, matthew 7:7... Also, the Bible has it that whatever we ask in his name he is able and just to do it.
2. We should always be patient to receive an answer from God when we pray because lamentations 3:37 reminds us that as long as God has approved it.. No man can disapprove..
3. Finally, God is able to do it. So wait for it as said in Habakkuk 2:3... Because that which he has promised will surely come to manifestation.
4. We should pay note to the different signs around us as God answers prayer in various ways. Most times, answers to our prayers can be tied to something we need do.. So we must be attentive...

I know God answers prayer... He is always on time.. So for u still wondering if God has heard you; yes he has and he will fulfill it according to ur purpose. Amen...
And to those still struggling if there is God, yes there is.. He is very much present in all our activities..
