Red Cross Demands Branches Remove Crucifixes to Be More Secular

Might as well change their name if they're ashamed of what they were founded as... the effort to de-christianize Europe continues...

"The Belgian branches of the international aid organisation received an email from the Provincial Committee of the Red Cross in Liège to remove all crucifixes. André Rouffart, president of the Red Cross in Verviers, said: “We were asked to respect the principles of the Red Cross”, and not to distinguish between race or religious belief..."

"Several volunteers spoke to Belgian broadcaster RTL and expressed hostility to the move, with one saying: “Let things remain as they are. We used to say ‘Christmas holidays’, now it’s ‘winter holidays’. The Christmas market in Brussels has become the ‘Winter Pleasures’.”

“For a certain part of the population — because of the Muslims — the crosses were removed in the Red Cross houses and, more particularly, in that of Verviers,” "

This is ridiculous. This organization should not be pressured to change their core values and founding principles. Those that have a problem with the name Red Cross or the symbols are free to choose not to give to the organization or to take assistance from the organization. Just my opinion.

Such a sad day when you hear stories like this.

Agree with it..

nice post @wilx! i love the passion you have about Christianity. i think we have that in common keep it up.

Political correctness has gone too far. The Muslims have 8 kids to the Christian's 1.5 kids that is one big problem. They will at some point be the main religion and Christianity will be a minority. Sad but Christians are not being fruitful and multiplying like the Bible states.

This is a strategy, little by little take away Jesuschrist from that kind of work, with excuses like those, they alredy have red half-moon, so what’s the point? To Dominate over the others..

Exactly..

Red Cross in Finland is not a Christian organization. The way they have taken care of the refugees here has made me realize that they are closer to being atheist. I decided two years ago that I will never again donate anything to them.

Fair enough. Jesus died once and for all, no reason to leave him hanging there.
