7 SCRIPTURAL REASONS FOR OPPOSING
ABORTION

The Oxford dictionary defines Abortion as the cessation of pregnancy or fetal development.
The word "abortion " is not specifically used in the Bible .However, there are many biblical principle which apply to the subject and which clearly preclude the acceptance of abortion as a moral act .
Let us give consideration to the following points ~~

ONE. Life is a gift from God.
Acts 17:25 (KJV) Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things. Human life is constructed in the image of God
Genesis 1:26 (KJV) And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Because of its origin, Human life is scared.

TWO. God forbids the willful taking of human life.

Romans 13:9 (KJV) For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Mankind has always been forbidden to wantonly kill a fellow human because of the special character of human life. According to Genesis 9:6, the penalty for taking an innocent life was death.

THREE. The Gospel emphasizes human worth and diginity
Christianity was born into a world where human life was cheap. In the Roman Empire,,60 million people lived in degrading slavery , thousands flocked to the gladiatorial games to cheer the Roman monach in the arena , it was the accepted thing to abandon or drown unwanted or sickly infant ,abortion was widespread in such a world, the teaching of Jesus emphatically oppose that kind of attitude , Jesus taught us that the little children were precious,( Matthew 19:14) (KJV) But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. Our society today was literally revolutionized! The influence of Christianity led to the end of slavery, gladiatorial contests the murder of infants and abortion.

FOUR . The Bible teaches that human life begins in the womb.

The scriptures did not made distinction between unborn and newly born babies. The same Greek word (brephos) is used in the Bible to refer to both Luke 1:41 (KJV) And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:Luke 2:12 (KJV) And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. Here the Greek word refers equally to an unborn child ,embryo, fetus, new born child, infant, "The unborn possess all the qualities of personality. Each life is unique. God said to Jeremiah :Jeremiah 1:5 (KJV) Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

FIVE. God condemns selfishness

Philippians 2:4 (KJV) Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Except in the case of dire and critical medical necessity, where the actual life of the mother is at stake, abortion is always a selfish act.

SIx. Those without natural affection are destestable to God.
Among the sins of the Gentiles which subjected them to the wrath of God was the charge that they were " without natural affection " Romans 1:31 (KJV) Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: . The Greek word (astorgos) refers to a lack of love on the part of parents for offspring . Surely the mother who chooses , merely for her own convenience, to destroy the innocent life in her womb is lacking in natural affection.

SEVEN. Abortion violates "Golden Rule".
The golden rule Matthew 7:12 (KJV) Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

Application of this principle would close every abortion clinic in the world .
What "prochoice" advocate would wish to have his or her body dissected as in a partial-birth abortion or savagely ripped apart, as in a suction abortion, as in a saline injection abortion? .
How can those who rejects such treatment for themselves justify it for others?
The basic question reduces to this : How can any one claim to honor God's will while refusing to reverence all life created in his image?

 ABORTION  does  not make you unborn, but make you the mother of a dead baby 

A child will make love stronger, days shorter, night longer, bank rolls smaller, homes happier clothes shabbier, the past forgotten, and the future worth living for .
Shun abortion, abortion is murder
