CRYING IN PLACE OF ACTING
And the Lord said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward. Exodus 14:15 KJV
We communicate to God of our situation through prayer. Though it is not the only way to talk about it toHim. There are other ways in which God has answered His people like singing praises to Him.
As beautiful as prayer is for a good relationship with God. Many have left the necessarywhat they suppose to undone and prefer praying about it. Are they praying for God to do it for them or what?
In this passage, the children of Israel were at the river bank and their enemy chasing them. On would have thought that the best thing to do is to call on God. But there are other things they suppose to do.
Enough of the prayer you have prayed just act. "... Tell the children of Israel to go forward" meaning enough of their cry.
Well it is very good to pray to God for guide on a particular thing but after the directive, act, take steps. Don't expect God to provide food for you and at the same time come and cook it. Wake up and cook. Y out have prayed about that job, go for it. Is it about your wife or child, take the bold step.
When Moses stretched forth the rod, behold the red Sea was parted and Israelites worked on the dry ground. What a mighty God we serve!
God is not interested in that shameful position you are. But after you have prayed to Him, whatsoever good thing He speaks to your heart, follow it for it is the way. Every good is from heavenly father.
Do not just sit down. Pray and act.
It is well with you.
