BROKENNESS AND POWER

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit."
WHAT IS BROKENNESS?

BROKENNESS IS ALLOWING THE HOLY SPIRIT HAVE FREE ALLOWANCE INTO EVERY AREA OF YOUR LIFE
Meaning if you are educated, talented and have strength you must hand all this to God and allow the Holy spirit to have access to every area of your life.
BROKENNESS IS WHEN YOU ARE BADLY INSULTED, DEFAMED AND REALLY WRONG BUT YOU GO AND APOLOGISE
Meaning when there is a dispute. Brokenness requires you go there and apologise whereas you are the victim in the case.
BROKENNESS IS FOR THE WORLD TO LOOSE ITS HOLD UPON YOUR LIFE
Meaning all the worldly clubbing smoking, drinking alcohol, lusting after the opposite sex in the room, fornication, scamming looses it hold upon you. It doesn't fascinate you and you don't have interest.
BROKENNESS IS TO BE SACRIFICED ON THE ALTAR OF GOD
Any man of God who gets easily offended and unhappy, lacks brokenness.
In those days when animals were brought to God for sacrifice, those animals were cut into pieces and rearrange on the altar one by one until the piece are complete and oil was poured on them and set ablaze, if one piece of the slayed animal was missing then the whole sacrifice will not be complete.
It is the same thing with our lives one by one our whole lives must become one huge sacrifice on the altar of God.
BROKENNESS IS WHEN YOU ARE COMPLETELY GIVEN TO GOD.
Meaning when God tells you to do something whether it is convenient for you or not. You say "Yes". You obey without complaining. If you say "Yes,but," that is unbrokenness. Because every but said to God is disobedience. This implies that God should be able to commit things into your hands.
Also after so many years of been a born again you should not have issues battling adultery, anger, fornication, malice, unforgiveness. If you still do, it may push you to hell fire.
BROKENNESS IS TO BE FULLY SEPARATED FROM SELF
Meaning you are dead and Christ is the one ruling your life. Also if you are broken to the fullest, God will use you to the fullest.
Psalm 34:18King James Version (KJV)
"The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit."
Psalm 51:17 King James Version (KJV)
"The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise."
Do you have an idea on why so many Christians are powerless these days?
The reason behind it is that many are putting their bucket into an empty Wells.
What is the outcome?
An empty well will bring up an empty bucket.
Meaning a lot of Christians are looking for spiritual power without brokenness
MY QUESTIONS
How many people want to receive the baptism of the Holy spirit to over flowing?
You will need brokenness!
How many people want to come close to God and hear his voice?
You must be broken. This is the beginning of personal spiritual revival.
This part of us that justifies itself on doing something right, seeking its own glory instead of God's glory, must admit that it is wrong.. It must give up its own glory so God can take all the whole glory.
Take a cursory look at our Saviour Jesus christ.
Two pictures of brokenness are attributed to him, which are:
THE DOVE AND THE LAMB
Lambs and doves are two of the most gentle of God's creatures.
When Jesus was baptised in River Jordan, "the Holy spirit descended as a dove upon him" and there was a voice from heaven saying this is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased" and John the baptist said "Behold the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world." john 1:29
The Lamb typifies meekness and submissiveness while the dove typifies peace.
God gave Jesus the symbol of the lamb and the Holy spirit which is the symbol of the dove.
This means the dove can only come and dwell fully in the lamb.
When we refuse to become a lamb and pray for the dove and it sees a goat, a pig, dog. It won't come upon us.
Acts 8:32-33 King James Version (KJV)
"The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth:
In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth."
Jesus is being described here. The disposition of the lamb is humility, submissiveness and self-sacrifice.
WHO IS A LAMB?
Beloved, lambs do not complain or grumble and they love each other. In cold countries were farmers keep sheep and cow. Cow die easily unlike sheep, sheep all come together and generate heat with their bodies to keep them warm. They do not bite each other, they respond to the sounds produced by their shepherd and like a fool, follow faithfully.
Many lambs can be reared by one person. Like in the books of Acts there were about 8,000 people in the first church being controlled by 7 deacons if there were goats, 300 deacons would not be able to handle them.
John 1:29 King James Version (KJV)
"The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world."
Sheep are very obedient, they follow the shepherd, they are gentle, innocent and do not try to defend themselves even when they are cheated, no resentment in them and that is why they are peculiarly devoted to sacrifice.
Its only the lamb, this kind of creature that can take away the sins of the world. Because of this character described to you the lamb is a common victim at the altar. So the dove can only abide within us when we are willing to become lambs.
WHO IS A GOAT?
Goats are destructive; mostly they have to be tied down with ropes, they are very stubborn.
They are the rebellious ones.
At the end of the age all sinners will be labelled as goats and the children of God as sheep.
WHO IS A PIG?
Pigs are destructive and are always looking for food.
Pigs are locked up most of the times. There are places were corpses are buried, if pigs start digging into the dirt and reach the corpses they will eat the corpse. These creature eat anything, even their own waste, young ones. They are very noisy, always grunting about.
Relating this to our lives, pigs are those so called born gain that when a person takes over their seat in church they argue about it, but if you are broken. You will go and look for a seat elsewhere. They are those in the home who are wives that respond to all verbal insults of their husband and husbands who abuse the parents of the wives.
WHAT IS A DOG?
Dogs are those who cry to God for the baptism of the Holy Spirit and power. Sheep knows only the voice of their shepherd but it is not so with dogs, because dogs familiarise themselves with the voice of everyone in a household and can even come close to a stranger. Dogs go back to their vomit.
Dogs easily go back to what to they have abandoned and rejected.
It is also easy for them to miss heaven and backslide.
They find it hard to leave the things of the world.
Dogs are quarrelsome, greedy, selfish and and have strong sexual desire, all these are never in the life of a lamb.
Brethen my question for you is?
Are you a Lamb?
Are you a Goat?
Are you a Pig?
Are you a Dog?
If you are Lamb just know that the dove of the Holy Spirit will not come upon the goats, pigs, dogs but the lamb, therefore be broken!
The heart of heaven bleeds with seriousness when there are people God expected to reach a certain spiritual ladder and power, but couldn't due to unbrokenness.
PRAYER POINTS
- O LORD! I want you to break me and remould me. I want every self in me to be destroyed in the name of Jesus.
- O LORD! Whatever whatever will make you replace me, remove it from my life now in the name of Jesus.
- O LORD! Give me the power to walk into the spirit in the name of Jesus.
- O LORD! Divorce me from every sin of self in the name of Jesus.
- LORD! Break me and remould me according to your will in the name of Jesus.
