for giving prudence to the simple, knowledge and discretion to the young – let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance – for understanding proverbs and parables, the sayings and riddles of the wise.
Do you consider yourself “simple” or maybe lacking knowledge or discretion. Do you feel others are just so much smarter in the word than you? Then the book of Proverbs is for you! Verse 4 shows it will enable you and not leave you dependent on others.
Maybe you’ve already got a good grasp on the Word. Doesn’t matter. Verse 5 shows this book will help you add to your learning. Even if you are already discerning, this book will help lead the way in your study time.
And lastly, regardless of where you’re at with your walk with the Father, verse 6 shows this book will help you grow deeper. It’ll equip you to see through things and not be stumped in confusion.
This book empowers us to start learning, seeing, understanding and figuring out the things of YHWH that we have never seen before. The book of Proverbs has much more value than what many have given it credit for.
Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout today. Until next time, Shalom
