Let Your Light Shine
How many many of us can lay our lives for our neighbour? I know you are thinking of different thhing within your mind but the Bible says we should be able to lay our lives down for one another as Christ did for us.
Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. - 1 John 3:16
I know it's difficult to do so and some will say I am not Jesus but yes, we can still do it. We can still lay our lives for one another when we do these things:
- Care for your neighbour
- Help out
- Do not be selfish
- Protect when you can actually do it
- Find the good of others.
The above lists are a few out of what we can do for one another.
We should be able to care for another as we care for ourselves just like what Jesus did for us when he died for our sins. He cares and love us and we should be able to do that for others. This is telling us not to be selfish in whatever we are doing.
Let people see our good work, let the light of God shine for men in our lives. Let others perceive these good doings of ours and not we say we are doing good to others. Let us esteem others than esteeming ourselves as well as being humble.
Do not do things for people so that others can see and hail you for it but rather do things and do not expect something in return because our rewarder is God.
In summary, do not be boastful, selfish, but rather help out, find the good of others, humble yourself and do the will of God and surely your light will shine for others to see and you shall be rewarded abundantly by God.
