"Come In Today..." - Daily Word #87

God is always asking all of us to "Come In"...

From the start of the Bible, we see many exemplars of Faith and Walking with the Lord like Enoch, Noah, Abraham. God created man to have fellowship with Him. And the best part of the equation, when you walk with God... God walks with you!!

Even at the end of the Bible in Revelation 22:17, “The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” Let anyone who hears this say, “Come.” Let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life.” Source

And as we agree to Come In, He clothes us with His Righteousness which comes from His Crucifixion (Death for our Sins).

“I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So the life I now live in the body, I live because of the faithfulness of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” - Galatians 2:20 Source

And the more we are aligned WITH Christ, the more we become like Him and the darkness that was once so real in our lives begin to dissipate. But it comes with us laying all of our sinful nature and weight of sin aside!

Hebrews 12:1(b) “...let us lay aside every weight and the sin that so easily ensnares us. Let us run with endurance the race that lies before us.” Source

And so as you Come In, you and I need to recognize that we can never come as we are (on our own terms). We have to come through the Blood of the Lamb -- being washed, sanctified and cleansed. This is the only Path In!

On a daily basis to resolve to NO Longer walk in our own ways, as if we do, we will be prone to go back to our old sinful nature. Such is the reality of our human condition.

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” - 2 Corinthians 5:17 Source

Yes, when we are IN CHRIST, the Lord will make all of our lives come ANEW.
