Isaiah 40:30-31

in #christian-trail6 years ago
Even in the midst of uncertainties of their future in the hands of the enemy, God made a sudden intervention and speak a word of hope and promises for her nation Israel.

In Isaiah 40:30-31, God unfold His utmost purpose of renewing a lasting hope for his people. With this in His mind, Isaiah spoke the word of assurance that even though they are so devastated, so tired and helpless--still, God's wonderful purpose will prevail. The y will understand that no one is exempted in the hardship of life and the pain brought about by their disobedience will lead them to a hopeless situation even though they are people belonging to God. They will Learn how to anticipate the value of obeying God and submitting to His will.

Life is full of Growing Pain

This is how Isaiah made his point in verse 30:

"Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall..."

I cannot imagine that some of us here will become very willing to experience this kind of life on a daily basis. Feeling tired, exhausted, broken and failure. These kind of situation will bring you to the edge of hopelessness. But we all know that God allows it for a noble purpose, for our good.

Develop a climate of Anticipation

Learning the painful courses of life will help us understand that trials and testing is a great part of living a christian life. Perseverance must finish its work so we may become mature in faith and never lucking of any good things (Godly wisdom and knowledge). God is expecting that we should develop a climate of anticipation that life is full of growing pain and that no matter how we want to avoid it, it will pass by and sometime made its way to stay for a while. No matter how painful it or how disappointed it may seem, God want us to anticipate it especially if we want to make His purpose be completed in us.

I know it will not end that way

As we understand God's wonderful purpose in our life so as well that we should understand That He will not allow us to stumble and fall for the rest of our days. Verse 31 says:

"but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

Yes in this life, as we wait upon God's provision, we may grow weak, get tired and weary. Perhaps many of us will experience lasting consequences of our wrong doings and will attempt to give up because He sees nothing good is happening about is life's condition-- but I believed it out of God's purpose, life will not end that way. There is a promise of renewal of strength for those who hope in the Lord so that we may experience once again the victorious christian life--we will soar above the storm of life like an eagle! Hold on! God is not finish with us, we are still work in progress and in the end we will all appear victorious in the sight of the Lord!
