THE BIBLE- A COMPLEX BOOK

The bible is a holy book use by Christians. Christians are those who practice Christianity. In Christianity, there are various dominations which range from orthodox, Pentecostal, Jehovah witness, Methodism and so on
Under the orthodox church, we have the Catholics and the Anglicans and them also various branches under these churches. In Pentecostal, we also have various churches each with their beliefs according to what they understood in the Bible

The Bible looks like a simple book but yet very complex and may lead to complications in understanding them. An individual may read a particular verse in a Bible and give a good meaning to it while others may read same verse and understand that verse so differently.
Some Christian dominations and Christians do see Ladies putting on of trousers as ungodly because of the Bible verse
Deut22:5 KJV

The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are an abomination unto the LORD thy God

While others see it as not a sin. Why?
To them, the Bible didn't specify a given dress for males and females. Any during the time of old males normally put on the garment. So if putting on a robe by males isn't a sin then why will ladies putting on trousers will be? they do think/believe so.

A group/some domination of Christians sees a lady putting on weaves and jewelry as something that is so biblical wrong. To these set of Christians, they do think that this thing is condemned by the Bible because of the verses below

1 Timothy 2:9-10 KJV

"Paul said: I also want women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God."
1 Peter 3:33
Your adornment must not be merely external-braiding the hair, and wearing gold jewellery, or putting on dresses

To other domination in Christianity, this doesn't attest to the fact that weaves and jewellery are sins but it just preaches how we shouldn't be carried away with them and always be Christ-like.

Some dominations in the Christian zone use images to represent Jesus Christ as a means to honour him and some dominations see it as a sin because of Exodus20:4 which says that

You shall not make unto yourself any graven image or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth

At times I do wonder if any of us to understand the Bible properly. There are some Bible verses that may not be understood properly even after several thoughts. I once had an argument with a friend about premarital sex. He said premarital sex cannot be termed as fornication if both parties eventually get married, that fornication is when two people had a sexual encounter and didn't get married. He quoted Exodus 22:16-17 backing up his claim

EXODUS22:16-17

16 And if a man entices a maid that is not betrothed, and lie with her, he shall surely endow her to be his wife.
17 If her father utterly refuses to give her unto him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of virgins.

To me, fornication is a wrong act in the sight of God and I did let him know why I think so with various scriptures backing my opinion.
Hebrews13:4

Marriage should be honoured by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.

1Corinthians6:9, Galatians5:19 and some other scriptures

Even after my various scriptural explanation he still remained adamant with is believe.
Am I to blame him?
Definitely, I am not. His words are base on what he did understand from the Bible. As they are many Christians that exist in the world so do they exist different understandings.
The problem most Christians do face is that they read the bible, they undermine the Bible taking it as one easy book that can understand so easily. We ought not to read God's word but study it, each time we take our Bible we should first say a prayer to God asking for divine understanding. My doctrine as a Christian is different from many other Christians doctrines and it doesn't prove I'm right or they are wrong. All we need to do is to study the Bible and praying to God to give us the grace to understand
