Step Up
Stepping up means to have the audacity to believe that whatever is broken can be fixed (Isaiah 58:12, Hebrew 12:13). Stepping up is not about being famous nor about seeking popularity (Jeremiah 45:5). It is also not about being ranked ahead of others. It's about taking responsibility for your life and to fix things when they go wrong. It's about leaving your ego behind and having true impact. You step up when you can run toward giant issues with the mentality and anointing of a savior (Obadiah 1:21). It is about finding solutions to the challenges around you. You don’t join the wailers to complain. It's about being a creator and not a critic. Be a creator of freedom, a creator of an alternative narrative to tough issues. Stepping up begins with you because before you ride upon the high places of the earth (Isaiah 58:14) you have to walk upon your own high places. Gravity is a natural phenomenon but up-thrust is a deliberate act! Problems are solvable with time and determination and God's grace. Visionaries are people who have chosen to step up aand make a difference.

Being A Visionary
First you must have a vision. A vision is a picture, idea or a strong wish you have in your mind of yourself, your business, or anything this is going to happen. A clear vision helps you pursue dreams and achieve goals. It is a kind of burden or passion that you can't shake or get rid of. When you see that things are not working, arise and be a change agent with a vision to change the narrative. Everybody who ever made a real difference had a burden or a vision like Mother Theresa and Martin Luther King. Your vision may not be as huge as theirs but my point is, it must be geared towards making a real difference.

Characteristics Of A Vision
Every real vision has God as both the source and the ultimate goal. This means the vision comes from Him and the goal is to glorify Him (1 John 5:4, Romans 11:36).

A vision is progressive (Proverbs 4:18). God's plan for your life will be revealed progressively not all at once so you'll be able to handle it in stages (1 Corinthians 13:9). May God give us the capacity to accommodate the new. Don't be static, don't tabernacle around the old, move on to the new things as they are revealed to you.*

Others are the beneficiary of a true vision (Matthew 13:31-32). The ultimate value of your vision is measured from outside in. That is, it is defined as a great vision by the persons that benefit from it in the long run.

A vision will always require God to fulfill it (Psalm 108:13). A vision from God will be bigger than your resources. If it's not bigger than what you can handle, then it's not from God. You would need to call every resource in through the place of prayer. Never put pressure on men when you should ask directly from God. If you feel a vision is from God, yet you begin to lose your peace, baby, stop! Lack of peace is an evidence that you are already operating outside of God’s will!

Visionaries don't work alone (Exodus 31:2 & 6). There are people God blesses because of you. Bezaleel was blessed with the gift of artistry to help Moses build the tabernacle. May God connect you with your own people in Jesus name. For every vision you need helpers, supporters, people to encourage you, people to recommend you, etc.

Visionaries will always attract those who share the same burden. It's called the law of sympathetic resonance. You might never know or meet such people until you are standing in your calling and fulfilling destiny and purpose (Proverbs 27:19).

Most visions outlast and outlive the founders. They are trans generational and so they require structure to carry it on (Ecclesiastes 3:11 & 14). Perpetuity is built into any vision from God.*
