Forever Settled!

Forever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven. Psalm 119:89

In John 1:3, Apostle John stated with great emphasis that "All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made"! John's gospel took a different dimension from the other gospels. He was focused on showing us that Jesus was not just the high priest but that He was above everything. He tried to show us that the Jesus was the word that was the fabric of all existence, hence the repetition and emphasis. The second thing that Apostle John emphasized is that the word of God is a living entity. Therefore we are rest assured that even if a physical bible is maliciously burnt, we know that the word of God is alive and dwelling in our hearts and cannot be destroyed nor taken from us. This fact is forever settled.

2 Timothy 3:16 tells us that all scriptures are good for instructions, for teaching or instructions, for reproof or correction, even the fewer paged books like Nahum and Habakkuk, lol. They are all profitable and important. Jesus said in Matthew 4:4 that as important as food is, man must not live by bread alone. If you live solely by bread alone, driven only by your need to fulfill your appetites, you are dying gradually as we cannot learn new things, nor upgrade ourselves with the aid of the word of God. There is a field engineering called "Materials Engineering". They study characteristics of materials in nature. About 5 years ago, phone screens scratched easily but now, Materials Engineers have discovered gorilla screens that don't thereby increasing cell phone durability. In the same way, since our lives were made by the word of God, we ought to continue to study it to see how it can be applied to day to day life and how we can achieve our desired stature in Christ. True we read the bible in retrospect, but God is still speaking and there is a word for you and that word is settled forever.

When God has said a thing concerning you, you can be sure it will come to pass. In Matthew 3:15 when Jesus came to John for baptism, John wanted to prevent him but Jesus insisted so that the scripture would be fulfilled. In Daniel 9:2, Daniel read and understood the scriptures that had been written by Jeremiah500 years before; that the people of Israel were to spend 70 years in exile and they had already spent 72 years! He took it up and began to pray for the accomplishment of the scripture. He searched the word, found what God had said, acted on it and it came to pass as God's word is settled!

Search the scriptures, find your rhema, take a stand of faith and align yourself properly to ensure that God's word comes to pass in your life. When you see pockets of unrest around you, anchor yourself on God's words in John 16:33 that says ".....Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world." Ensure you put everything about your life in the framework of the word of God. Things happening to you are not mistakes, so search the scriptures to know what to do. No matter what happens, all things still works together to bring you to the place God wants you to be because the word of God is settled!

The word of God is settled concerning your prosperity; you will prosper. Proverbs 10:22, Deuteronomy 7:14.

Your health is settled; no matter the sickness, you can be rest assured that you will be healed. Exodus 23 :25, 1 Peter 2:24.

Your success is already settled; don't put yourself in a cage that God did not put you in. If you fail at a task, take the learning points and try again or move on to better things. Joshua 1:8, Phillipians 4:19.

Your fruitfulness is settled; barreness is not your portion. Exodus 23:26, Matthew 13:23.

Let's reflect on these words...forever settled. What is that thing that you have given up on in your life? Can you find out from the word if there is a different narrative about it? Once you find the right word concerning that situation, eureka! There would be a turn around. Remember that the letter kills but the spirit gives life. Your story will begin to change as you mix your faith with the word; God's word is forever settled!

Cheers and thanks for reading!
