THE MIND OF CHRIST

WHAT IS MIND? It is the faculty of consciousness and thought. The ability of thinking/thought.

Dictionary stated that the mind in a human or other conscious being is the element, part, substance, or process that reasons, thinks, feels, wills, perceives, judges etc.; the processes of the human mind.

THE MIND OF GOD IS THAT ALL SHOULD BE SAVED.

   That is why Christ in the book of John10:10. says: 

The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).(AMP)

Therefore, the first duty of man is to evangelize to all mankind so that they will receive Salvation and deliverance from sin and be free. This is the core of the coming of the saviour. By his death on the cross, we were saved from sin and death.

To show the importance of this to the mind of Christ, even after resurrection, before He asended to heaven, one of the last command He gave in the book of Acts of the apostles chapter 1 verse 8 is:

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. (ESV)

It is not His desire that any man should perish. Therefore, if we must have the mind of Christ, we must also have this mindset of preaching to the lost soul. Know it that it is a command and not optional and must be adhered to.

HUMILITY

In the book of Rom.8:6-8, the bible says the carnal mind can not please God. So we should be spiritually minded to know the mind of Christ.

While Christ was here on earth in the human form He showed us examples of humility and we saw in Him humility personified.

Imagine Jesus that is God the son, being crusified by His creatures, imagine Jesus the master washing the feet of His disciples, imagine Jesus being accused and yet opened not His mouth, imagine Jesus dinning and winning with sinners, imagine Jesus the creator paying tax to His creators, imagine Jesus that is God, coming in human form, was born and was buried. What a humility!

What other examples are we looking for? The bible recorded that man is sand and is like a flower that whithers but yet we accord ourselves so much importance even when we are nothing. We are so full of pride as if we can add a strang of hair to our body or as if our breath is controlled by us.

My brothers and sisters, remember that God resist the proud and gives Grace to the humble. If the Almighty God could come in human form, then we can humble ourselves. It pays to be humble. God will elevate you beyond your imagination. Also remember that pride goes before a fall. The mind of Christ is humility therefore let this mind be in you also.

Remember, the above says we can do all things. This include having the same mind Christ had. The mind of an evangelist and the mind of humility.
