Religion is meant to teach us true spiritual human character. It is meant for self-transformation. It is meant to transform anxiety into peace, arrogance into humility, envy into compassion, to awaken the pure soul in man and his love for the Source, which is God.

Issue with most religions today is that are trying to divide people. They have become profit making and power gathering institutions ruled by corrupt godmen.

I appreciate your point, religion has a part of truth, but not the truth itself. The truth as a name, and his name is Jesus, and he can't be represent he is spirit.
I am a spiritual person in an eastern religion kind of way. I learned that happiness for all of us is a switch that you flick in your brain. It doesn't have anything to do with getting a new house, a new car, a new girlfriend, or a new pair of shoes. Our culture is very much about that; we are never happy with what we have today.
