The Profounding Truth in Matthew 6:33

"Seek ye first the kingdom of God & all righteousness shall be added to you." in Mattew 6:33

The saying goes 'God sees your heart', but sometimes even our hearts are deceitful. So I would say, check your heart first and seek God out. In whatever you do, ask yourself:

"What can I give or offer (eg. love, kindness, encouragement, comfort, or just for the glory of God) to others by what I do?"

Instead of

"What can I get out of what I'm doing (eg. praise & recognition from man, intimidation, show off your knowledge & skill/authority, or throwing your weight or just being boastful).

Be careful of how you live as Jesus' disciple bearing God's Word as in Matthew 5:16: "In the same way let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds & glorify your Father in Heaven."

However, should you receive criticism/insults, always remember God's promise to us in Matthew 5:11: "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and say all kinds of evil against you because of me."

And remain silent mimicking Jesus as in Mark 14:61.

'But Jesus remained silent n gave no answer. Again the high priest asked him

'Are you the Messiah, the Son of The Blessed One?' 'I am' said Jesus.'
