I Am Fearfully and Wonderfully Made: The ABC from the Bible Day 4

Have you looked at yourself in the mirror lately? Did you see a beautiful work of art? A masterpiece?

While the evolution theory tells us that man came from apes, Christians believe that we are created in God's image and that we are unique in many ways. The book of Genesis supports our claim.

Genesis 1:27 (KJV)

So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He
him, male and female created He them

I am fearfully and wonderfully made....

First, this verse tells about what the human body is capable of doing. Have you seen any animal that equals our capabilities? We can stand on our feet upright while other creatures can't.

Second, the verse tells us how valuable we are to God who created us. He designed us with much care and details that He knows even the number of our hairs (Matthew 10:30). He cared to form us with much love and effort.

Third, it reveals the glory and power of Jesus. He created us in wisdom so that like Him we can recognize right from wrong. He has given us free will so we will know the importance of making wise decisions. For this reason, He deserves to be honored and glorified.
To honor means we make holy and clean the body that He gave us. So that in so doing, He is glorified.
