Love and Marriage 6
Looking at the stages in marriage, it almost started to feel that marriage is no fun. So today I am taking a break of the stages.
Marriage can be a lot of fun. The secret of a happy marriage is to work on it daily. You must be in tune with yourself and your spouse. If a problem arises it must be sorted out sooner than later. Song of Solomon 2:15 15 Catch us the foxes, The little foxes that spoil the vines, For our vines have tender grapes. NKJV
Working on your marriage daily means to make time for each other daily. In our busy days, it can be very difficult to make time. You can easily just live past one another. The one day just flowing into the next, just going through the motions. During your day, send a text, saying I miss you or thinking of you. It is the small things that can wreck our marriages, in the long run, it is also the small gestures that can build our relationship.
Ecclesiastes 9: 9 "Live joyfully with the wife whom you love all the days of your vain life which He has given you under the sun, all your days of vanity; for that is your portion in life, and in the labor which you perform under the sun." NKJV

It is God's will for you to enjoy your spouse and your marriage.
Make a daily appointment to deliberately stop what you are doing and make time for each other. It might be sitting outside with a glass of wine or a cup of coffee, just talking about your day. If you can only switch off at bedtime, maybe just lay in each other's arms. This may or may not lead to intimacy but don't expect it to lead to intimacy every time. Note for men: woman often just want to cuddle, enjoy being near to you without the expectancy of intimacy.
Life is short, it may end anytime. Make a habit of complimenting each other, say you look beautiful or handsome, say I miss you, but most importantly, say I LOVE YOU!
