The Holy City

In preparation for Palm Sunday, I offer 'The Holy City' to you. This is a classic standard for the Sunday before Easter. This is an 1892 Victorian ballad of which the music by Stephen Adams (Michal Maybrick) and words by Friederic Weatherly. I grew up with certain classic songs in the church, 'The Palms', 'O holy Night' and of course, 'The holy City.' As we are coming to the climax in the church calendar, what better way to celebrate it than with cherished timeless music literature sung though the ages.
