Greetings to the whole community.

Continuing with the series "Biblical stories for children", we will deal in Part 6 with reference to: A good son and a bad one. Remembering that in the previous message we saw the beginning of a difficult life for Adam and Eve outside the Garden of Eden, and that many children had been born to him, being the first of them: Cain and Abel. In this sense, the present story will show that one of them was good and the other bad.

The present biblical story will have its support in Genesis 4: 2-26; 1 John 3: 11-12 and John 11: 25.

The growth of Cain and Abel.

Look now to Cain and Abel. Both have grown. Cain has become a farmer. It is dedicated to the cultivation of cereals and fruits and vegetables.

Abel raises sheep. He likes to take care of the lambs. These grow and become large sheep, and soon Abel has a whole flock of sheep to care for him.

Cain and Abel bring a gift to God.

One day Cain and Abel bring a gift to God. Cain brings food that he has grown. And Abel carries the best sheep he has. Jehovah likes Abel and his gift. But he does not like Cain and his gift.

You know why?

It's not just that Abel's gift is better than Cain's. It's because Abel is good. Love Jehovah and his brother. But Cain is bad; He does not love his brother.

That is why God tells Cain that he must change. But Cain ignores it. He is very angry because God has preferred Abel.

Cain invites Abel to go out into the field.

Cain tells Abel: "We are going to the country there." There, when they are alone, Cain hits his brother. It gives him so much that he kills him. Do not you think it's terrible that Cain did that?

God still remembers Abel.

Although Abel died, God still remembers him. Abel was good, and Jehovah never forgets people who are like that. That is why one day Jehovah will make Abel come back to life. In that time Abel will never have to die. You will be able to live forever in a paradise that God will make with new heavens and a new Earth. Is not it good to meet people like him?

God does not like people like Cain.

That is why after Cain killed his brother, God punished him by sending him away from the rest of his family. When Cain moved to another part of the Earth, he took one of his sisters with him and she became his wife.

With time Cain and his wife began to have children. Other children of Adam and Eve married and also had children. Soon there were many people on earth.
