TEMPLE THOUGHTS Ecclesiastes 7

TEMPLE THOUGHTS
Ecclesiastes 7

is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.

I've heard men tell stories of victorious endings in spite of extremely defeated beginnings. The triumph at the end sometimes make the gory beginning seem almost applaudable. When the testimony is heard at the end, the pains of the past pales.
It's good to start well, run well and finish gloriously but sometimes, the start wobble, and the run limps. Even then if the finishing is glorious, the fumbles and wobbles of the start becomes good dressings on a cake of success.

If you can read this, then I'm sure you have not ended. Maybe you didn't start well, or maybe you started fast and steady but along the line, a tumble happened, get up and race on. Falling down isn't alien to running, but staying down is a major disaster. Get up soldier, the battle is still on.

Are you wondering if our captain is displeased, perhaps he is. But his anger lasts a moment and his steadfast love endures forever. Soldiers, let's run our race with patience and refuse pride in our spirit. Notice the stump that cause the fall and race on. Enthusiasm and discipline can be friends.

Whatever your start was like my friend, you can and will finish well. A warrior who has won a major battle wears the scar of the past with dignity. The Holy Spirit is here to help all that are willing to run well and finish to angelic applause.
Happy Sunday.
