You do not know how to talk to "God"

Talking to God has to do with a spiritual, personal and private relationship. With so many religions and popular beliefs regarding God, it can seem complicated to discover a way to talk to God. However, it does not have to be that way. The way you choose to connect and talk to God is reduced to what seems right to you. No matter what your spiritual options or your religion, you can learn how to communicate with God with the following tips.

Determine how you see God. You will have to determine who God is for you so that you can speak confidently to Him. Who is God and how do you define him? Do you see God as a paternal or maternal figure, as a teacher, as a distant or close friend, as someone who is closer than a sister or brother? Is God an abstract spiritual guide? Is your connection with God rooted in a spiritual and personal relationship with him or do you follow the form and order of your religion to understand who God is for you? What is true for you will determine how you see and speak to God.

Establish a relationship with a loving God. It makes it easier for you to talk to someone when you persist in establishing a relationship based on dialogue with a person who really cares about you. [1] So telling God your burdens and your joys helps to strengthen your relationship with him. Knowing that God wants to hear from you and share all your joys, your efforts and your thoughts is the first step in establishing that relationship. In addition, you can strengthen that relationship by reading about how much God loves you in spiritual literature or in religious texts, such as the Bible, the Torah or the Koran.

Talk to God as if he were a close friend, loving and almighty. Talking to God as a great friend is different from simply praying as a need or a duty. As with a friend, your expectation is that communication is mutual when you notice how God responds, helps or teaches. Although prayer can be more of a one-way operation, talking involves a conversation.
- You can talk with God aloud or in your mind, as you think is most effective for you.
- It may be a good option to find a quiet or private place that you can use to concentrate while you talk. If you can not, it's okay to silently talk to God while waiting in the queue at the store, sitting in a waiting room or at work or at school, etc.

Speak with God.Talk to God as if a physical person were in front of you. You can talk to God about your daily problems, the thoughts you have at that moment, your hopes, your dreams and even tell (and tell yourself) about the things you are grateful for. You can talk to God about casual or difficult issues, as you would with a friend who cares about you.

-For example, imagine that you have an ongoing discussion with a friend. You can say "God, I do not know what else to say to Carlos. We have discussed for almost two weeks and we still can not reach an agreement. I do not want to think we can not overcome this, but I do not know what else to do or say. "

.Have you ever been amazed by a crazy and beautiful day? Talk to God about that gift he gives you. "God, the day is beautiful. I would love to spend the day reading in the park. "

-You may have a difficult relationship with a relative: "I hate that my mom and I do not get along. He does not understand me and refuses to listen when I try to tell him how I really feel. I ask that she try to see things from my perspective sometimes and help me be patient, listen and understand. "

Wait and pay attention to a possible response. You may not get an audible response like when you talk to a friend in front of you, but you can receive an answer from God in his written word or in the sermon of a minister. You can also expect the answer to come in the form of an intuition, an inspiration, a script, a situation, or an event that relates directly or indirectly to what you have spoken with God.

Tell God that you know he has his own reasons for apparently not intervening and his own time and he trusts it. You probably do not get what you want when you want it, but He does everything with a purpose.

Try to follow God's way trusting in his loving concepts and expressing his good will. However, realize that anything that happens can be the result of the participation of the action or the personal and selfish inaction of a "third person" or their "opposition to some of your ideas and needs". God does not stop or necessarily interfere with the conduct of the parties that disagree. Why? Just like you, they have free will and they can not follow the love, the morality, the purposes of God or stop their misconduct, which can involve you. Therefore, events can unfortunately depend on that dangerous and indifferent intervention in your optimistic and peaceful way. You can talk to God even in critical situations, on a very dark day or when you pass through the valley of death. You must not fear, but you must cry out to God and trust, come what may.

Tips

When talking with God, be sure to do it in the way that is most comfortable for you. Do not try to imitate someone because you think he does it correctly. Do it because you think it can work for you.
