Do Your Best.

The source of my reading is "Trusting God Day by Day - Author is Joyce Meyer" Photography is Google Search.

First, before I start to write or take the notes from the book, I want to make it clear that when I like the articles that I read and if they are beneficial to others I post them so others can enjoy and make use of them in their daily life. In between at times I like to add my thoughts but it doesn't happen at all times. I just add photography in between so it gives life to what I am thinking. I appreciate all your support for taking out the time to read.

How do you feel about your life? Do you like it, love it, and enjoy it, or do you hate it and wish you had a different one than you have? Do you look at other people and their lives and wish you were them and had their lives? Do you want to look the way they look, own what they own, have their career or their family? Or are you happy with the life God has given you? This are the question that arouse in most of the minds today. Just as the writer wrote and while I was reading it, I was also going with the motions of these questions. It must be happening to many in today's age. We are so fascinated with today's technological world that we look into others and judge ourselves. We do want others have or want to get better than others. Let's read and see what is said further and also what the bible says.

Exodus 20:17 clearly states for us -  “You must not desire your fellow man’s house. You must not desire your fellow man’s wife nor his slave man nor his slave girl nor his bull nor his donkey nor anything that belongs to your fellow man.”

In the Bible, wanting what others have is called coveting, and it is forbidden by God. He even included it in the Ten Commandments. You are never going to have anyone else's life, so wanting it is a waste of time. You won't look like them, either, so learn to do the best you can with what you have to work with. So true this is that we see day to day bases that a young girl want to look like the super model so she goes and get plastic surgery, and some want to look and be like Michael Jackson so they go out and get the haircut that Michael had and do a few steps that Michael did, are they truly what Michael Jackson was? No. Why do we want to change ourselves to be like others or do what others did? It is what it is! We got to deal with things the way they are.

Nobody has a perfect life, and it is entirely possible that if you want someone else's life, they are busy wanting someone else's, too; perhaps they even want your life. The regular employee wants to be the boss, and the boss wishes he did not have so much responsibility. A single woman wants to be married, and sometimes a married woman wishes she were single. Contentment with life is not a feeling, but it is a decision we must make. Contentment does not mean that we never want to see change or improvement, but it does mean we can be happy where we are and will do the best we can with what we have. It also means we will maintain an attitude that allows us to enjoy the gift of life.

Philippians 4:11 says, " Not that I am saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be self-sufficient regardless of my circumstances." As Hebrews 13:5 brings out the promise clearly - "Let your way of life be free of the love of money, while you are content with the present things. For he has said: “I will never leave you, and I will never abandon you.” So we should trust on God. If God wants us to have what others are having, he will automatically give it to us. We need to be happy and do his will to our best. We should remove the untruth and lies within ourselves to be happy. 1 Timothy 6:8 clearly shows us - "having food and clothing, we will be content with these things." I want to conclude this today with the scripture which is very close to my heart. Matthew 6:25 - "On this account I say to you: Stop being anxious about your lives as to what you will eat or what you will drink, or about your bodies as to what you will wear. Does not life mean more than food and the body than clothing?"

God has given us so many privileges in life. We need to work on and motivate our living according to God's standards.

Thank you for reading.
