Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

                              “You are not judging by God’s standards but by man’s.”  

   

             Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 16:21-27. 

                   सेंट मैथ्यू 16: 21-27 के अनुसार यीशु मसीह की पवित्र सुसमाचार

यीशु ने अपने चेलों को दिखाया कि वह यरूशलेम जाना चाहिए और प्राचीनों, मुख्य पुजारियों और शास्त्रीों से बहुत दुःख भुगतना होगा, और मार डाला जाएगा और तीसरे दिन उठाया जाएगा।

तब पतरस ने उसे एक तरफ ले लिया और उसको झुठलाया, "हे प्रभु, ऐसा नहीं है, ऐसा कभी नहीं होगा।"

उसने पतरस से कहा, "शैतान, मेरे पीछे पीछे हो जाओ, तुम मेरे लिए एक बाधा है। आप सोचते हैं कि भगवान के रूप में नहीं, बल्कि मनुष्य के रूप में।"

तब यीशु ने अपने चेलों से कहा, "जो कोई मेरे पीछे आना चाहता है, वह खुद से इनकार करे, अपना क्रूस उठाए, और मेरे पीछे हो।

क्योंकि जो कोई अपना जीवन बचाना चाहता है वह उसे खो देगा, परन्तु जो कोई मेरी खातिर अपनी ज़िंदगी खो देता है वह उसे ढूंढ़ेगा।

पूरे विश्व को पाने के लिए और अपना जीवन जब्त करने के लिए क्या लाभ होगा? या अपने जीवन के बदले किसी को क्या दे सकता है?

क्योंकि मनुष्य का पुत्र अपने स्वर्गदूतों के साथ अपने पिता की महिमा में आएगा, और फिर वह अपने आचरण के अनुसार हर किसी को चुका देगा।

                                                     

                                                                                     O Lord,

                                                                     you have mercy on all,

                                                                 take away from me my sins,

                                                                and mercifully set me ablaze

                                                             with the fire of your Holy Spirit.

                                                      Take away from me the heart of stone,

                                                              and give me a human heart,

                                                             a heart to love and adore you,

                                                                 a heart to delight in you,

                                                                 to follow and enjoy you.
