Availing Yourself: Isaiah 6:1-13
Hello guys! Happy Monday....for the love of Christ and His works.....just want brief someone at there on this platform about " making yourself available for His work"
Isaiah 6:8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
Each and every one of us has a calling on our life. We have been called to be lights ( Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven), repairers of the breach( Isaiah 58:12 And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in), builders (Isa.61:4) just to mentioned but a few. How receptive are we to answering God's calling our lives. We are to work worthy of the vocation wherewith we were called (Eph 4:1). To answer God's call on our lives we need to avail ourselves.
Why God needs us-- To reconcile men to God, to stand as representatives and to show forth His praises..( John 15:16, 2 Cor 5:18-19, 1 Peter 2:9).
So many things cause us not to avail ourselves
Ignorance, Self-centered, Sin, Distraction and Doubt ( Col.3:1, Isa.6:5, Rom.8:5-6 ).
For us to avail ourselves to know we've been called these scriptures below points it all out...
Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls,
Hebrews 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
In conclusion, Knowing that we all have been called, it's important for us to submit ourselves to God for His use. As youths we have been called to be repairers of the breach. Avail yourself to God and go forth and fulfil His mandate. God bless you.
