Festive Decors @ Pavilion Kuala Lumpur
Chrismas is just around the corner, and like every year before it, most major shopping malls would splurge on elaborate seasonal decorations. Yesterday, my wife and I visited Pavilion KL so that we can show little Evan how the retail industry hijacked Chrismas to promote consumerism the spirit of Chrismas.
We arrived almost as soon as the mall opened and yet, it was almost immediately inundated with the weekend crowd. As you can see in the picture above, the theme of the decorations this year is Mickey mouse. I didn't take a lot of pictures inside the center court as we could not walk two steps without crossing into the path of picture-taking visitors. I have never seen so many selfie-sticks in one place in my life.

The other main display, a "Chrismas tree" filled with Mickey Mouse figurines customized in various themes. This "tree" also received a Malaysia Book of Records certification that this is "MOST NUMBER OF MICKEYS ON A CHRISMAS TREE"
Please excuse me while I roll my eyes.
Just outside the entrance is this odd birdcage-like structure.
And strangely orphaned outside the entrance is this little Frozen-themed photo booth shaped like an igloo.
There are still a lot of Mickey-related displays and merchandise inside the center court which I didn't take pictures of due to the crowd. If you need a dose of festive spirit and you feel your kid(s) would be elated to see a giant Mickey, do pay Pavilion KL a visit. Just a minor caution - go on weekdays if you are not a crowd person.

Oh my... I have heard about it, but won't be able to go due to the crowd. I should have ask you to record a video to show Jansen. Hehe. Just saying. Really nice! Pavilion sure spent alot on these.
To be honest I couldn't wait to get out of there hahaha~ I really hate crowds that's why I usually only go to the malls on weekdays.
Alot fo the decors are sponsored by other companies, you can see brands like Huawei and Maybank on some of the decors.
