President Trump’s “magic bullets” against the #Covid-19 #ChineseVirus?

The mainstream media has been going into hate-filled overdrive the last couple of days attacking President Trump for fast tracking the use of Hyroxychloroquine for “compassionate use” to help patients desperately ill with critical cases of Covid-19.
POTUS just can’t win with these people: if he does nothing he needs to act, if he acts, he’s being reckless, and the desperation of the media’s attacks against him has reached levels we truly have never seen before. I will give some insight into WHY they are behaving like this later in the article…
But first: what is Hyroxychloroquine, and a second drug, Azithromycin, why is President Trump getting behind them so strongly, what is the basis for thinking they might be effective: and could they be the answer the world is looking for, as COVID-19 has become a pandemic and Countries across the world go into lockdown against a Viral enemy society has no immunity to and for which there is currently no Vaccine or fully proven cure?

Outlets like Bloomberg, of course owned by failed Democratic candidate Michael Bloomberg, who previously declared their determination to attack Trump any way they could, then started screaming this was a plan to poison Americans

So, on the one hand, we have President Trump being pro-active and bringing forward new options to fight the virus and help Americans, and on the other, the dog whistle panic from outlets like Bloomberg, and a veritable rabble of Twitter Blue-Check mark haters, treating people like children who gobble drugs like sweeties and don’t understand that powerful drugs can kill people if misused.
This is clearly an experimental treatment for people already in a desperate position that would only be prescribed and administered by Doctors in a time of last ditch need: and yet if it works out, could have the potential to save many many lives and aid bringing Coronavirus and its lethal threat to heel.

It is hard not to conclude the only adults in the room are standing at the podium at the White House giving the daily briefings to the American people…
So what’s the basis for thinking these drugs can help people?
Well principally a recent small-scale French study published the International Journal of Antimicrobial Agents strongly suggests a combination of hydroxychloroquine, a popular anti-malaria drug, and antibiotic azithromycin could be especially effective in treating the COVID-19 coronavirus and reducing the duration of the virus in patients.
Critics trying to rubbish this development are trying to make out its some reckless hokum: but the truth is, the French study was following up on a whole range of studies that have been taking place in the far-east, especially in China and South Korea: both nations, perhaps more reliably in the case of South Korea, believed to have been highly successful fighting back COVID-19.
While the French study looked at Hyroxychloroquine, its one of a family of similar chloroquine drugs being evaluated.
Last month the China Daily News had this to say:
“Chloroquine has good antiviral capabilities against the novel coronavirus as evaluated in vitro. It has been approved for clinical trial by the Ministry of Science and Technology and National Health Commission," said Chen at the daily press conference.
The Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica and Shanghai Pharmaceuticals Holding Co have recently launched a joint clinical trial of hydroxychloroquine in Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center."
Developed during World War II, hydroxychloroquine is similar to chloroquine and is sold under brand names such as Plaquenil. Apart from malaria, the drug is also used to treat rheumatoid arthritis and lupus.
According to Chen, the Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, a branch of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, has identified 30 potential compounds from a pool of 40,000 that could potentially be used against the novel coronavirus.”

So straight away we can see the Chinese are supporting what President Trump are saying, and hydrochloroquine is one of 30 promising candidates for an anti viral treatment already narrowed down from 40,000.
Not only that, but in Mid February the South Korean Government also approved Hydrocholorquine for a potential treatment for COVID-19, along with another drug used in HIV treatments to knock out virus’s, Kaletra.

Conclusion
Covid-19 is a brand new disease. The very first case was at the start of December 2019 and the world community didn’t even hear about it until January, now its mid April and it’s a serious global pandemic threatening to overwhelm Health Care services and cost people their lives all around the world.
Therefore, no treatment is going to be found “off the shelf” that will meet all the years of human testing and rigorous standards usually expected of pharmaceutical medication: and people on Ventilators losing their lives right now don’t have years and years to wait.
President Trump is quite right to take direction from the emergent science and cut read tape so people who literally have nothing left to lose can maybe benefit from these drugs and add to the scientific body of knowledge.
The very last thing anyone should do its take matters into their own hands and get hold of hydroxychloroquine and start dosing themselves: that would be VERY stupid: at the same time, the mainstream medias hysteria is juvenile and smacks of such bad grace, one wonders what might be going on:
