We see and read these achievements every day in all kinds of media, such as television, news websites, blogs, official accounts, members, etc.Sometimes, we immerse ourselves in it and think that we have become a developed country, and our countrys scientific and technological strength is already in the lead in the world. 

To be sure, we have been in the forefront of the world in Internet finance, such as mobile payment, high-speed rail technology, bridge-building technology, sharing economy and so on.However, we should also soberly realize that the reason why we have been able to achieve such brilliant achievements is inseparable from Chinas huge market demand.That is to say, a lot of technologies start from abroad, but they cant move on because of the limited or weak demand of their market. 

In addition, we still lag far behind developed countries in terms of hardware and software in many technologies.

Take, for example, the high-speed rail we are proud of.Now the media often say that our high-speed railway mileage has reached 22,000 kilometers, and more than the other countries in the world of high-speed rail mileage combined. Moreover, we have reached a top speed of 350 km / h. 

Of course, we should be proud of these achievements, but the longest mileage is also related to Chinas national conditions.Many developed countries in the world either have a very small territory, such as Japan, France, Germany, Britain, etc, and do not need or can not build very long high-speed rail lines;or sparsely populated, such as Canada, Australia, Russia and so on, the market demand is insufficient; or the civil aviation industry developed, such as the United States. Of course, compared with some big developing countries like India and Brazil, we are ahead.

The technologically advanced countries are not behind us in terms of the speed of high-speed trains.But their high-speed rail lines were built before us, and some even decades earlier (such as Japans Shinkansen), and adapted to the times under the conditions of the timethe speed of the background.

In fact, compared with the developed countries, the gap is more reflected in the details and services. 

Or take the high-speed rail as an example. Remember that when the high-speed rail ( or EMU ) just opened, the waitress selection and training standards are almost comparable to flight attendants. Previously standardized reporting stations and related knowledge introduction, tips, etc, are now not so standardized. Some interesting programs also stopped playing.

These are the changes in the service software, hardware details, now the high-speed rail is also increasingly highlighted the problem.For example, most of the automatic doors between the trains are not closed, but the automatic opening and closing function is cut off by human being.

However, after all, the times are progressing, and the publics awareness of supervision and participation in social affairs is also constantly growing.I think that with the continuous progress of science and technology, the steady development of the economy, and the growing awareness of service, the Chinese manufacturing will continue to improve. One day, we will reach the level of developed countries in terms of hardware and software.
