So... Why I call myself Carmen the Beauty?

I'm Carmen the Beauty. It is a clumsy imitation of Felipe el Hermoso. I enjoy that people call me "beauty", or better "the most beauty”. My spanish friends always greet me "hello guapetona", and say goodbye to me "goodbye guapetona". I do not think it's a flattery, it's just a fondness. Actually, I am very happy with this nickname. It seems that once people call me that, I'm going to become more beautiful little by little. Of course, you can also only call me Carmen.

I am from Chongqing province of China, which is located in southwestern China. It is a mountainous and spicy city.

I learned Spanish at a university in Beijing. Beijing is an ancient and modern capital.

I had one year of exchange study in Burgos. It is a cold and warm city.

Now I'm doing a PhD in comparative literature in Spain. This year I start my first course. During my free time, I work as a part-time Chinese teacher in a company.

Up to now I have been learning Spanish for almost five years. I know this country a lot, which is like my second hometown. The cities of Spain that I have been are: Madrid, Barcelona, Burgos, Santander, Bilbao, Salamanca, Toledo, Cuenca, Valencia, Alicante, Murcia, Albacete, Seville, Malaga, Granada and Cordoba. And I'm going to conquer more ... Sometimes my friends told me: "Carmen, you know Spain more than me!" It's true. I love traveling, and during the trip I can always make new friends.

I try to write in three languages, Chinese, Spanish, English. It’s really a big challenge to me. I felt very tried but I'm happy because I can chat with the friend of all over the world without problem. I’m studying French and Korean too. Maybe I can write with more language in the future.
