Chinatown Honolulu

Good morning to you on this beautiful and sunny Saturday as I visited Chinatown. I enjoy shopping in Chinatown because most of the fruits, vegetables, and seafoods are locally grown or caught here. This simply means it’s a great way to support our local farmers and fishery industries. And of course, for the freshness.

I love coming here to buy very fresh fruits and vegetables and sometimes the fresh seafoods here. I don’t like cleaning fish, so usually, off to the supermarket, I go.

This morning I’d like to give you a sneak peek of a very small portion of Chinatown dry and wet market. The dry markets are filled with fresh fruits and vegetables. I got a few items. The wet market is filled with freash and locally caught fish. Yes, some fish love js so exotic and beautiful while others are just...fish. Please enjoy!

And there you have it. I understand that this type of shopping is not for everyone but most Asians enjoy this type of shopping because fresh foods is a must and this is one way to look, touch, feel, and smell foods you’re about to cook. It is a wonderful and loving to enjoy foods to its fullest. That’s my opinion, of course.
