China Farmland Devastating Floods & USA Farm Floods Inbound

Thought of the day, as Bitcoin approaches $11,000 people are already on the offensive, complaining that mining the Bitcoin uses too much electricity. My question, how much electricity will the 5G grid consume, when each tower requires 2 cooling systems because they are running at such high wattage? In my estimate, it is probably about 50 times more than what mining for a Bitcoin requires. On a ‘brighter’ side, you can get a faster internet to do research on the cooling boxes used on the 5G towers.

Now, on to the floods in China. I am aware that not a lot of people get Chinese media, so I thought I would show flood conditions across the southern part of China, as well as the conditions in their grow zones. Flood waters are so ferocious and heavy.

The image below is the aftermath. Their interstate bridges collapsed; and the flood waters are the same as what were seen in Oklahoma.

This has been making the rounds across Chinese social media.

Highways were inundated with flood and mud and the story was re-aired because they were finally able to finish some cleanup operation and roads could reopen. That was on the 14th and 15th, so it took almost seven days to clear the debris and the landslide on just a single stretch of the road.

These floods were all encompassing that more than 8.5 million people had to evacuate. This image below is just an example of what happened in the farmlands across the countryside due to massive floods sweeping through. This is normally a creek, but now, with this much water volume, it is nowhere remotely close to what it used to be.

It looked exactly like the scenes in Oklahoma. Remember, when the floods occurred there, worst planting season in American history is recorded.

This is how the greenhouses for vegetable productions look like in China.

I am sure you can imagine how bad this was. Millions and millions of people had to evacuate because of these floods in the countryside farms.

So, how do you think their farm fields are going to turn out this year? They already had the devastation from the armyworm; now, they also have the devastating floods to deal with.

To get a better perspective on how big, how wide or how all-encompassing these floods are, I checked out floodlist. So far, 8 provinces were inundated in Jiangxi, Guanxi, Guizhou, Zhejiang, Fujian, Hunan, Guangdong, and Chongqing.

Furthermore, the number of people affected by this flood is continuously increasing to 5 million, to 8 million, and now, they do not know exactly how many people has been affected, but it is in the tens of millions already. Think about that for a moment. If the seriousness of the floods were as all-encompassing as in the United States, how many crops are they going to lose too? The flood events started in June 10th, which is still ongoing, and on top of that, they are expecting ‘more rain’.

“More rain’ here means not just merely a tropical moisture, but a down pouring rain with 5 more inches expected to be dumped on the crop growing zones of China.

A glimpse of how the flooding looked like can be seen in some of the media headline stories about the biggest rainstorm in the southeast provinces that happened a week ago. The top right picture especially, is how it looks like everywhere in the countryside, which is, like I said, very similar to what happened in Oklahoma.

With that being said, let us transit over to the U.S. For Indiana, Ohio and Illinois, how many more inches of rain does that yellow color on the map indicate? For you and me, that is between 4 and 5 more inches of rain; which is exactly the same as the amount China is about to receive.

(BELOW) This image shows what occurred during the Arkansas floods. The greater mainstream media, however, deemed this not to be a headline kind of story, and brushed off as ‘just’ a flood with a couple of levees collapsed. The reality is, it was like this all over their farm fields.

To put humor on this scary event that we are facing, somebody put the Loch Ness monster in the Arkansas floods. We, indeed, need a bit of humor amidst these times of turmoil, so you can take some photos like this, send them to me, and I will happily post them here for you.

On a serious note, Climate Central needs to update this chart from a month ago. Because as you know, Arkansas, Indiana, and Illinois should have a big huge green spot there.

The coloration of the map from Climate Central should then be changed to dark evergreen Christmas tree.

This calls for another humor during these biggest crop losses ever recorded, put a life vest on the corn. This reminds me of Gilligan’s Island.

Speaking of ‘snow would be a thing of the past’, look at these summertime snows in Colorado all the way to British Columbia. Do you still think your children will never know what snow is? Maybe except for summer snows.
