So your a firm believer that something that has NEVER HAPPENED (gold worth zero) in over 3000 years will all of a sudden happen out of nowhere for no reason if paper money collapses? Over 700 fiat currency's have collapsed and gold never went to zero once, but this time its gonna be different? This is reckless logic in my opinion, i'll decide to error on the 3000 years of history.
I was kind-of thinking the same thing. Having a few gold coins on your person, in a tight spot, might actually save your life - assuming most people would rather barter/trade than kill you. Fiat will be good for tinder for starting fires and TP for your bungholio.
