Nice post I'd like to add that the reasons why these things happen is because bodily processes are slowed down by cold water because the enzymes needed for speedy processing need heat. So the heart race reduces, digestion is slowed restricting your body's intake of nutrients and so those nutrients become stored as fat. Blood circulation is also impaired.
