Failing with my ADD and ADHD boy😭

My son is 13 years old. I really thought this disorder would be easier to deal with by now.

He got into a fight in class. He shouted at his teacher and said he hoped he could just die. Does that really mean he wants to kill himself??

He often blurts things out when nobody wants to listen to him. He doesn't really mean it. That's what I'm saying to myself in order to be strong.

We have been advised to go to counseling to deal with him. All my Google research has given me some new techniques. Why is it so challenging??

Anybody with some advice?
