2. Children raised by animals: Dina Sanichar, the wolf man

in #children7 years ago

In 1867, some hunters discovered something amazing in the Bulandshahr in India. Walking through the woods, they saw a humanoid being, who seemed to be a boy of about 6-7 years old. The boy walked in four paws, next to a pack of wolves. The animals and the boy entered a cave, and the hunters followed them. After a while, the hunters broke into the cave, killed the wolves, and found the boy.

They took him with them and took him back to civilization, where he was admitted to an orphanage, and the carers baptized Dina Sanichar. The doctors who studied Dina discovered that he had all the traits and behaviors of a wild animal.

He refused to be clothed and pulled off all the clothes that caregivers had placed on him. Like the wolves, Dina bled her bones and made animal sounds. Although he was constantly cooking, he prefers raw meat.

Dina stayed with people for the next 20 years but only managed to learn to stand on two legs, dress (though with difficulty), eat from the dish and drink from the glass. He never learned to talk, but he liked to smoke very much. He died of tuberculosis in 1895.
